CURRICULAR - SMCS is committed to a rigorous STEM curriculum including Advanced Placement (AP), Cooperative Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) courses, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) modules from Preschool-Grade 12. PLTW enhances our rich educational experience and progressive STEM curriculum through interactive, hands-on experiences that strive to immerse our students in the subject matter and guide them to embrace the tools for a lifetime of self-learning in the STEM fields.
CO-CURRICULAR - SMCS has been on the cutting edge and forefront of technological innovation in co-curricular offerings, clean energy/solar exploration, and competitive VEX Robotics in the state. We offer competitive VEX Robotics for students in grades 5-12 and our teams excel at state, national and world competitions. As community outreach, we host an annual STEM Saturday event as well as a summer Aeronautics Fly-In experience focused on drone flying and rocketry.
