CURRICULAR - Our rigorous STEM curriculum includes Advanced Placement (AP), Cooperative Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) courses, Project Lead the Way (PLTW) modules for grades 6-12, and Mystery Science preschool – grade 5. We integrate various approaches to provide students with immersive experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. This dynamic learning environment encourages students to develop the skills and adaptability necessary for success in STEM fields.
CO-CURRICULAR - SMCS has been on the cutting edge and forefront of technological innovation in co-curricular offerings, clean energy/solar exploration, and competitive VEX Robotics in the state. We offer competitive VEX Robotics for students in grades 6-12 and our teams excel at state, national and world competitions. As community outreach, we host an annual STEM Saturday event as well as a summer Aeronautics Fly-In experience focused on drone flying and rocketry.
